Finally! Christmas Eve is approaching. The year has flown by as quickly as a flock of wild geese flying south.

Christmas - my dream in white. Even Frank Sinatra sings about "Dreaming of a white Christmas" every year. White Christmas... Rare, but not unrealistic.

When I think back to last year, I was on ice skates at Christmas time - which of course makes a tall woman even taller. The blades under the shoes make you suddenly grow taller, which has its advantages. You keep a good overview and can glide gracefully out of the way of approaching and threatening dangers while skating.

My well-fitting ice skates are a real asset. I hope I'll be able to use them again this year. Unlike my snow pants, which actually had the honorable task of keeping me warm.

Tip 1: Flooding in snowstorms

Unfortunately, the trouser legs were too short, so only part of my legs were properly warmed. My ankles quickly turned into pork knuckles - fitting for the festive feast.

“High-water pants” is what we tall women call this specimen.

A pair of thick knitted socks quickly helped me to find some relief and still gave me some cozy warmth. I've already sorted out the classic bad buy.

Note: Snow pants with a 3/4 length are simply too short and cannot be worn in summer .

Tip 2: Better oversized than underdressed

Thick knitted sweaters are a lot easier in the cold winter. There is a lot more choice. I love wrapping myself up in a cozy knitted sweater, preferably oversized, during the fourth season. Oversized clothes always look good on a tall woman. The whole outfit just shouldn't be oversized. It's enough if Santa Claus walks around with a sack.

Tip 3: Lady gets lost in men’s department

If you prefer a casual and sporty look, you can wear cool hoodies or long blazers. These items can also be found in the men's department, as the average arm length of tops in the women's department is often not the necessary length. A long (men's) coat also always looks good on a tall woman. I myself wear a men's coat in bright blue, my absolute favorite. A small woman would be hopelessly lost in it and would literally disappear in the blue material.

Of course, we tall women can also wear short jackets, but we should be aware that we are accentuating our long legs even more. A long coat, on the other hand, flatters your height.

Tip 4: Marlene is not Kleene

And while we're on the subject of clothing: What should I wear for Christmas as a tall woman? I was inspired by the styling tips for tall women .

Marlene trousers are an insider tip for tall women. They emphasise feminine features and show off your beautiful tall height perfectly. You just have to make sure that the trousers are really floor-length. With a nice blouse and the right shoes, they make a great party outfit.

For Christmas Day or Boxing Day, my go-to is a maxi skirt. Paired with a silk blouse and a pretty shoe, this is another shiny outfit.

Nothing stands in the way of Christmas anymore.

And if it does snow and the lake freezes over, I'll head to the men's department and buy myself a pair of men's length snow pants.

With this in mind, I wish everyone a wonderful holiday and hopefully a white Christmas!

Best regards

Pam
