As a freelance celebrant, I am happy to be there for my bridal couples and support them in all matters relating to a non-denominational wedding and the conduct of their wedding ceremony.
The decision to have a non-religious wedding is becoming more and more popular.
Why is that?
A look at the statistics clearly shows that more and more people are leaving the church – for a variety of reasons. Since the withdrawal of both spouses from the church eliminates the possibility of a church wedding, the remaining option, in addition to a civil ceremony, is a civil ceremony. The civil ceremony serves to legally establish the marriage, while a civil ceremony is a beautiful way to express one's mutual love. This also applies to same-sex couples, couples of different religions, couples who don't want to get married at a civil ceremony, or couples who want to exchange vows after many years.
Dare to wear jeans
The beauty of a non-denim wedding is that my couples are free to make all their own decisions. I advise them and accommodate all their wishes wherever possible – including their attire. Even a non-denim wedding in jeans is possible, if desired. If my couple decides on this attire option, I'm happy to advise them on this as well.
So I would always advise the groom to try on a selection of jeans first. Countless styles and fits, like skinny jeans, regular fits, or even boyfriend jeans, don't make it any easier for a man. You can find a good selection in all lengths, different shapes, and colors at www.langehosen.de
Say yes to jeans
A simple white shirt, a jacket (also available in denim), and a bow tie or tie with white sneakers are a chic addition to the matching jeans. A small highlight would be a denim tie or bow tie. You can find selected handmade pieces on Etsy, for example: https://www.google.de/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=&ved=2ahUKEwiuqKjcncf9AhUYrqQKHQ8IAikQFnoECBEQAQ&url=https://www.etsy.com/de/market/jeans_krawatte&usg=AOvVaw0J28-1sAxZxbhnzNHVsnCF
Another highlight would be a pair of personalized groom's socks, featuring the groom's name and wedding date. The following Etsy link also offers a great selection: https://www.etsy.com/de/market/lustige_hochzeit_socken
If you like, you can also give the male witnesses and the bride's father similarly distinctive socks. After all, men have to stick together.
Jeans bride
The man would already be well-dressed. What should the bride wear? In this case, I would always base my decision on the type of celebration, but also on the bride herself. If the entire celebration follows an "all in jeans" theme, I would also recommend a denim dress for the bride. There are some very beautiful, unusual denim dresses that are still stylish. For example, a white veil could be worn with a denim dress to make the bride more recognizable.
If the bride prefers a more formal look, I'd recommend a white wedding dress. Combine it with an embroidered or painted denim jacket that echoes the groom's look. You can find cute ideas here:

That's the beauty of a non-denominational wedding. There are no constraints, no guidelines, no rules to follow. There are (almost) no limits to your ideas and wishes.
Best wishes,
Your Pam
