Life is in full swing

Do you know that feeling? After all the holidays, you feel like getting out again, experiencing new things, and getting moving. Concerts come in handy. Often given as gifts under the Christmas tree. Tickets to various events. Giving the gift of time together and experiencing great concerts. Simply priceless.

I gave away tickets to "Classic Meets Pop" for Christmas. Finally! After a three-year wait, the major music show, featuring everything from classical to pop music, is back at the Weser-Ems-Hallen Oldenburg. Right in my hometown. It couldn't be better.

I loved the gift so much that I bought myself two tickets right away. My own Christmas present. Music simply puts you in a good mood. And a concert in such a large group with so many acts is even more fun.

Before, afterwards

And as is often the case: I'm already thinking about what to wear 🤭 Typical woman problem. Jeans always work. Plus a nice blouse and a chic blazer, for example. Since this concert is a seated event, skinny jeans are a great pair to combine with a pair of pumps. One of my favorite jeans is the Skinny Fit Alan by Cross Jeans in grey. If you prefer black jeans, you might like the Slim Clean by Mac in black. Their leather look is a real eye-catcher. Perfect for heading straight to the after-show party 😉

potpourri

I'm a passionate concertgoer. When stars debut in front of a standing audience, I choose comfortable sneakers to match my jeans—pure endurance tactics for my feet. They thank me for it.

My concert selection covers a wide range, from rock 'n' roll to heavy metal to pop music. Each musical genre has its own style and its own fascination. Elvis performs  unfortunately no longer on, but many other good Rock n ´  Roll musicians still play the good old style—unmatched for me. Real, good, old music—handmade.

But Guns n' Roses and Sarah Connor also have their own appeal for me. I've seen both live, several times in fact. A live concert always creates a very special atmosphere. Experiencing musicians up close and hearing them live – it almost triggers melancholy in me.

Sarah Connor, who I just saw live in Berlin, is an incredibly amazing woman. I love her personality, her style, and, of course, her incredibly amazing voice.

As a teenager, I was already a Guns n' Roses fan. I attended my first live concert wearing a headband like singer Axel Rose and matching jeans, which I had hand-decorated with the band logo. It was an experience I'll never forget. I painstakingly painted my jeans with the band's logo, and I had arguably the coolest outfit ever—or at least, that's how it felt.

Revival

Thirty years later—in jeans, but without the band logo and without a headband—I saw the band live again. I had to admit to myself that not only the band members, but I too, have grown a bit older. I didn't watch the concert quite as wildly as I did back then. But it was still a highlight.

Even Shakin I saw Stevens live not too long ago. In his early 70s, he's getting on in years, but his voice is still as good as ever. The concert was held while seated, and I could barely stay in my seat while listening to the music. I would have loved to dance. But with the pumps I was wearing that evening, it wouldn't have been a very long dance anyway.

So think carefully about which footwear you choose for your musical experiences. The right choice is worth its weight in gold for your feet.

Best regards after grades,

Your Pam 🎶
