Have you seen it yet? - personal film recommendations featuring tall women from a tall woman for tall women
I don't want to imply that tall women should only watch films about tall women. Perhaps one or two of these films will give you a sigh of relief, perhaps you'll feel affirmed and recognize yourself in some of the plots or experiences. Perhaps you'll even take something away with you.
The world of film has countless films to offer. From comedy to thriller, fantasy to romance. Everything your heart desires (or rather, denies). My selection for you deliberately doesn't just include the most recent films. After all, we tall women haven't been around for a long time.
For example, there is the Netflix two-parter
“How Jodi Surpassed Herself” - with Ava Michelle (1.87 m)
At almost 2 meters tall, Jodi Kreyman has always been the tallest girl in her school. The joke about her height has followed her almost her entire life. Suddenly, she falls in love with Stig, a Swedish exchange student. Her world is turned upside down. Unfortunately, she doesn't receive the love she had hoped for. Her two best friends and her sister teach her to finally love herself, despite all her insecurities.
If you like to relax on the couch with a Netflix series, you should
“Game of Thrones” - with Gwendolyn Christie (1.91 m) in the role of the warrior Brienne of Tarth
She first appears in the third episode of the second season.
Brienne is a pleasant personality, honest, loyal, but also stubborn, judgmental, and controlling. Her stubborn nature doesn't make life easy for her enemies...
A series with addictive potential.
The Netflix season is truly royal
“The Crown” - with Elizabeth Debicki (1.91 m)
The season is dedicated to the life of the British Queen Elizabeth II.
In the final seasons 5 and 6, the actress takes on the role of Princess Diana. She shows her true greatness in the role of the beloved "Queen of Hearts."
Sigourney Weaver (1.82 m) has proven her acting talent in countless films.
Impressive, for example, is her role as Diane Fossey in the film "Gorillas in the Mist." The film tells the true story of US researcher Diane Fossey, who studied the lives of the endangered mountain gorillas in East Africa in 1967. She made it her mission to protect the endangered species, ultimately risking her own life...
The film was released in 1988, but is still worth watching.
Another prime example of a highly talented actress is Nicole Kidman (1.80 m). Back in 2001, she played the impressive "Satine" in the musical film drama "Moulin Rouge." A love drama centered around money and power, it ultimately shows that true, deep love can be halted by one thing, but never ends: death.
And if you prefer action, the 2003 classic is a good choice:
Kill Bill Vol. 1 and 2 - with Uma Thurmann (1.81 m)
The departure into a new life ended in death: The planned wedding of "The Bride," played by Uma Thurman in the lead role, turns into a veritable massacre during the rehearsal. She herself survives, severely wounded by a gunshot wound to the head, and wakes up from a coma after four years. She decides to take revenge on the death squad, draws up a death list, and works through it piece by piece...
A film for the hard-boiled.
I wish you an exciting movie night and great moments.
