The end of the year is already in sight. In just a few more hours, it will be 2025. It's a bit of a time to get used to writing the new year again. But until then, I'm looking forward to a lovely evening with lovely people, delicious food, good wine, great music, and lots of good cheer. Reflecting on the old year and looking forward to the new one, hoping it will be a freer year for everyone.
Glitter fairy or grey mouse
Before the first guests ring the bell, I have to think about my identity and the right outfit. As a tall woman, do I want to really stand out, or would I rather shimmer discreetly in the background? Sequins or simple? Long or short? Pants or a dress? Hair down, in a braid, or even pinned? What color should my nails be? Questions upon questions that absolutely need to be answered within the next few hours.
If you want to celebrate New Year's Eve in style, a glamorous outfit is the perfect choice. A sophisticated shimmer always looks great. "Over the top" rather than "under the ground"—if you're not dressing up now, when will you?
Tip 1: Long-legged Women
As a tall woman, you can certainly make a statement with long legs in a short dress. As long as the dress looks classy and elegant. The shoes should also be right. A sequined dress with ballet flats doesn't look nearly as sexy as it would with a peep-toe or pump. Of course, heel height plays a role, so a 12cm stiletto could quickly make you feel uncomfortable because you'll stand out. The dress should be slim-fitting and close-fitting; a flared skirt looks too cute for us tall women.
A jumpsuit looks sophisticated and elegant. It particularly emphasizes long legs. Combined with a beautiful belt and high heels or sandals, you're guaranteed to turn heads.
A long dress with a high leg slit will also certainly make a statement. The slit emphasizes what we tall women were born with: our long legs . High sandals or pumps are a perfect match for this look.
Tip 2: A single part that has it all
If a glittery dress seems too much for you, opt for a single glittery piece. Whether it's a large, eye-catching piece of jewelry, a glamorous handbag, nail polish, or even glittery eyeshadow, anything goes. The main thing is that the wearer feels comfortable in her own self. A sparkling hair clip is also a good choice.
Tip 3: The main thing is that the hair lies
If you're one of the lucky ones who already has your outfit ready, you can now start thinking about your hairstyle. One thing is for sure: it should be able to withstand a long night of dancing. I found great ideas for beautiful hairstyles with instructions for styling yourself at DEAVITA.
One thing you should definitely keep in mind: the greatest effect in the shortest time is achieved with a hair accessory. Whether hair clips with glitter stones, velvet headbands, or pearls – small eye-catchers always visually enhance hairstyles. Hair accessories are best integrated into loose hair or a half-up.
Done! The outfit's perfect, your hair's styled, your nails, and your makeup complete the glamorous look. New Year's Eve is here! With that in mind, I wish you a Happy New Year with a brilliant end to the year, as well as lots of health, happiness, success, and joy in 2025!
Until next year,
Your Pam
